Nerja!!

I found my favorite place in Spain this weekend.  A group of us went to Nerja which is about an hour and half away by bus.  We had about 10 people in our group (unfortunately Amber was gone this weekend visiting her brother so was not with us!) then another big group went so we had about half of our whole ISA group!  We went to the caves first.  Since we had such a big group we were able to get a group discount so we got in for half the price!  The caves were really neat, they have like an auditorium area in the caves where they have concerts and stuff which I think would be really awesome, but Ryann said she looked and they don't have any in June.  My pictures aren't the greatest because no flash was allowed (these two pics are the ones I cheated on)

After the caves we ate our lunches (most of the senoras pack lunches if we're going on a day trip on the weekend.  It is super awesome and makes it feel like a field trip, especially since I always get a juice box!).  After finishing our lunches we grabbed the next bus to the beach.  It's a bit of a walk from the bus stop to the playa (beach) and me and Ryann got lost because I decided I need to stop and get something from one of the shops.  I just figured the beach would be easy to find, but it turns out not so much.  We asked where the beach was and got told there was like a zillion of them and we had no idea which beach people went to and Lauren didn't really remember how they had gotten there.  So we wandered!  Nerja is a beautiful place to wonder through though, we found about every beach in the vicinity before finally getting to the one that everyone was at!  If I hadn't had my giant bag it would have been more enjoyable.  We did get to see a lot of pretty things along our walk though...




FINALLY!  We made it to the beach everyone was at.  We sat and relaxed for awhile before doing some adventuring.  Lauren and I climbed up on a rock that had a wonderful view of the water.  I didn't have my camera but I'll have to steal pictures from Lauren sometime!
After laying around for awhile again Tony and I did some swimming.  He has an awesome water proof camera so we were trying to get some good underwater shots!  We also went over to this rock that we climbed up to jump off of into the water.  It was really, really fun!  The beaches at Nerja are really deep so you don't have to swim for out to get to it.  It was probably the highlight to my day!

We spent most of the afternoon alternating between swimming and relaxing.  It was the first day that I really went swimming because it seems like the water there was a little warmer or maybe it was because it wasn't a super hot day.  I can't wait to get back the Nerja (the bus trip is only 8 euros round trip so its pretty affordable, plus Amber needs to go), the water is so much prettier and the rocks are amazing!
We had to get back to our bus stop around 6.  We got there a little earlier than that so me and Tony went in search for ice cream...It took us a little longer than we thought so we missed the first bus!  It was fine though because we went back the the other half of the big group that came.  I got back in time for dinner, although it was depressing to eat without Amber!
So all and all it was a great great wonderful day!!  As soon as we have our next free day me, Amber, Lauren and Ryann will probably be returning!
